Every canvas is hand painted, textured, and mastered individually creating an honest work of art. Therefore, no two backdrops will be exactly the same, but will be produced as closely to the master canvas you ordered from as possible. If you find yourself unsatisfied with your investment, adjustments to the individual canvas can be made to meet your satisfaction.
We use #12 Canvas with all of our backgrounds.
Our drops are made using a combination of plasters and glazes. The plasters do not chip or flake.
Our levels correlate with the amount of time and product the drop takes to make. Level 1 takes less product and time that our Level 3 drops.
We do any size backdrops and our more common sizes can be located on our pricing page with their cost. Because anything over 8 feet must be shipped freight, which is considerably more expensive, we encourage you to keep one dimension within that measurement and we will roll the drop according to it to save you the extra cost.
Because of the plasters, you would not want to fold our backdrops. The best way to store them is rolled, just as they come when we ship them to you.
Our drops are mounted on a wooden pole, and before we ship them to you we slide a cardboard tube over the top of the pole to make it easier to roll up.
Depending on size, typically our heaviest drop is about 20 lbs. They are considerably light and easy to maneuver.
We do baseboards at lengths of 4ft, 6ft, 8ft, 10, and 12ft. The 10ft and 12ft are hinged at 8ft and finished together to keep the dimension within UPS ground requirements. There is a small fee of $10 to hinge the baseboards.
Your baseboard will mount onto you drop using a magnetic system. It is not a permanent attachment.
The box dimensions are 22"x17" and 19.5in high. They weigh around 30lbs and are hollow so they can be used as storage as well.
The embellishment is on one long side of the box and one short side. The other two sides have a plain trim on them to essentially create the look of two boxes in one.
Our leg kit attaches to the wooden lid of the box and created a platform prop that can be used separately. There is a $60 additional charge for the kit.
The daybeds are 23.5"x17.75" and approx. 15.5 inches at the highest part of the arch. The cushion sits approximately 8 inches off the ground and the daybed weighs less than 15lbs.
The PetalStools are 17 inches tall and the top has a diameter of 19 inches .
Our floors are created on thin sheets of plastic that can be rolled into a large tube and stored, but also can be stood against a wall, or kept laid out.
The floors come in 4x8 sheets. One 4x8 is $400; two next to each other create an 8x8 floor for $750.
We ship our drops via UPS Ground and it usually takes 2 business days for the packages to get to our customers once they have left our shop. We try to encourage our customers to keep one dimension 8ft to stay in the measurement requirements to ship UPS Ground. Otherwise, we have to ship freight and it is much more costly.
Wait times depend on whether we are filling show orders. Most common wait time is 3-4 weeks.
The cost of shipping is dependent on what you are shipping. Boxes, Daybeds, and PetalStools have a $50 shipping and handling charge. Drops have a $45 shipping charge, but we can fit two drops in the same box so you only get charged once. Baseboards have a $20 charge, but if you have a backdrop as well, we can put the baseboard in the same box and drop the $20. We try to make our shipping charges as efficient for our customers as we can.
