Barbour Backdrops is quite the "family business!" After being high school sweethearts, Kevin and Shannon have been married over 25 years and have 4 children! Of those children, their oldest daughter, Steffani, handles all customer service and administrative responsibilities while their only son, Nick, is in charge of all packaging and shipping of orders. But everyone’s favorite little guy around the shop is Steffani’s son, Kingston, Kevin and Shannon’s only grandchild! He is also the most common little model for their backdrop and prop pictures!

Barbour Backdrops began after a local photographer asked Kevin and Shannon to design a few unique walls for her new studio. When images using their walls were seen by other photographers, they began to receive comments on how different they were from other backgrounds on the market. This sparked an idea in the couples’ minds. The Barbour’s wanted to offer unique backdrops and baseboards to Professional Photographers that would give the illusion of being a true finished wall. After researching various products, Kevin and Shannon developed a process that allows great texture and depth on canvas and a system for attaching the baseboards for ease of use. Thus, Barbour Backdrops was born! Each backdrop and prop is individually crafted by hand. This ensures the high quality and uniqueness of the decorative finishes. The collection has been designed to combine both classic and modern influences resulting in a beautiful elegant style.
